AWS Lambda

Lamdba is a serverless technology which runs small compute jobs without the need to defined operating systems, or containers.

Lambda SnapStart is a feature which increases Java cold start performance by 10 times. It achieves this by taking a snapshot of the Firecracker microVM once the Lambda function has finished initialization, and starting new Lambda invocations from this snapshot. See here for more details.
