AWS typically launches new capabilities in a small number of regions initially, and over time rolls that new capability out to other regions.
The Asia Pacific (Jakarta) region now supports the AWS Resource Groups service, including the Tag Editor.

AWS Glue now detects and remediates PII
AWS Glue is now able to detect Personal Identifiable Information (PII) at both the column and cell level. It can log the type of PII and it’s location, and follow-on actions can be defined.

Tool validates EMR on EKS custom docker images
Custom docker images can be used by EMR on EKS to include specific packages required for Apache Spark jobs that are not available in the default distribution of EMR. This new tool validates these images.

Amazon Managed BlockChain (AMB) now supports the latest long-term support release of HyperLedger Fabric v2.2, which:
improves collaboration by introducing decentralized governance for chaincode (or smart contracts)
better supports the sharing of private data
improves the packaging and installation process for chaincode

Updated Kubernetes plugin released for AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) Private Certificate Authority (CA)
Kubernetes can be extended to interact with its environment using plugins. AWS have now released a v1.0 plugin which allow Kubernete to use the more secure AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) Private Certificate Authority (CA) instead of it’s own internal CA.

New AWS Storage Gateway Tape Gateway vendor products supported
Now Dell EMC NetWorker 19.5 and Veeam Backup & Replication 11A running on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 can backup to AWS Storage Gateway allowing users to replace physical tapes on premises with virtual tapes in AWS without changing backup workflows.
